Free Service Pricing Calculator

Work out what to charge for your services in seconds. Enter the income you want to take home, your monthly overhead, how many hours you can actually bill each week, and a tax set-aside — the calculator returns a sustainable hourly rate and a per-service price. It works for freelancers, coaches, trainers, therapists, tutors, groomers, cleaners, and any appointment-based business. The trick most people miss: your rate has to cover overhead, tax, and the unpaid hours spent on admin and finding clients — not just your salary divided by 40 hours. Free, no signup. Once you've set your prices, publish them on a free booking page below.

Frequently asked

How do I calculate my service price?

Start from what you want to take home, add your business overhead, then gross that total up to cover tax. Divide by the hours you can actually bill in a year to get your hourly rate. Multiply by a service's length to get its price. This calculator does all of that for you.

Why is my rate higher than the take-home I entered?

Your rate has to cover more than your salary. Overhead (software, rent, gear, marketing), tax, and the unpaid hours you spend on admin and finding clients all come out of what you charge. Only a portion of your week is actually billable, so each billable hour has to carry the rest.

How many billable hours should I assume?

Most full-time freelancers bill 20 to 30 hours a week, not 40. The rest goes to admin, marketing, quotes, and rest. Being honest about billable hours is the single biggest reason people underprice, so it is better to estimate low.

Should I charge per hour or per service?

Clients usually prefer a clear per-service price over an hourly rate. Use this tool to find your hourly rate, then set a fixed price per service based on how long each one takes. That is the number you publish on your booking page.

Where do I publish my prices once I've set them?
